The Versailles Apartment Building
The 19-story, Versailles Apartment Building required extensive exterior building façade, balcony, and roof repairs. O&S performed a survey of the building exterior using swing-stages and developed a repair program for the façade. O&S developed repair drawings and technical specifications and provide periodic observations during construction. The restoration of the exterior façade repairs which comprised of structural concrete repairs to balconies, balcony railing repairs, replacement of through wall flashings north and south walls, the replacement of cracked and deteriorated brick masonry, the addition of epoxy grouted masonry ties, tuck-pointing of deteriorated mortar joints, caulking of all windows, cleaning and coating the entire building and installation of temporary sidewalk protection/bridge. The total cost of the façade repair work was about $1.4 million. Work was completed in 2001.
