The Blair House Apartment Building

The Blair House is a 15 story Apartment Building which required extensive exterior building façade, balcony, garage and roof repairs.

• O&S Associates performed a survey of the building and developed a repair program, repair drawings and technical specifications and provided periodic observations during construction.
• The restoration of the exterior façade repairs was comprised of structural concrete repairs to balconies and balcony railings, replacement of through wall flashings north and south walls, the replacement of cracked and deteriorated brick masonry, the addition of epoxy grouted masonry ties, tuck-pointing of deteriorated mortar joints, caulking of all windows, cleaning and coating the entire building; roof replacement, parking garage repairs and installation of temporary sidewalk protection/bridge. The parking garage repairs included new waterproofing and concrete repairs throughout the garage.

The total cost of the façade repair work was approximately $ 2,350,000.
