Reading Citadel Garage

Above is the garage during construction. This is one of the many projects the City of Reading has hired O&S Associates for:

• Garage scope originally specified by another architect.
• Initial contract was $800K but change orders over $2M were being contemplated
• Accordingly, O&S was asked to trouble shoot project and was later asked to re-design
• New contract was awarded for $1.8M to Restoration East, of Baltimore MD.
• Project was completed in time to obtain CO for the new Citadel High School, ahead of schedule, despite a 5-month shut down due to redesign.
• Structural system is precast double tees with a field-topped wearing slab.
