Omaha Children’s Hospital

The Omaha Children’s Hospital was constructed in 2000. The glass curtain wall is three stories high above the main lobby of the hospital. The parking garage is a five level garage, built below grade, underneath the entrance plaza deck.

• O&S Associates performed a thorough inspection of the south elevation curtain wall for water infiltration problems and the parking garage to address maintenance issues. We observed water stains at several mullions at the walkway above the office space at the lobby level. We also observed a large water leak stain at the ceiling in one of the offices at the lobby level. The dry wall covering along the walkway at the base of the curtain wall has been repaired due to water leaks. We also observed water stains on mullions at the curtain wall at the north elevation.
