Mediterranean Towers North Façade Repair

O&S performed the design and construction service for the structural rehabilitation and waterproofing of the exterior façade and balcony of Mediterranean Towers South. The 23-story, Mediterranean Towers South apartment building required extensive exterior building façade and balcony repairs. O&S performed a survey of the building’s exterior using swing-stages and developed a repair program for the façade. O&S developed repair drawings and technical specifications and provided periodic observations during construction. The restoration of the exterior façade repairs comprised of structural concrete repairs to balconies, balcony railing repairs, the replacement of cracked and deteriorated brick masonry, new through wall flashing at selected apartments, new waterproofing coating to balcony slabs, tuck-pointing of deteriorated mortar joints, cleaning and coating of exterior building, and installation of temporary sidewalk protection/bridge.
