O&S was hired by Larsen and Toubro Ltd. as part of a design-build team to design and install the roof deck, skylights, and roofing systems for the Terminal 2 Expansion project.

The total roofing installed under these contracts (Phase 2 & 3) was more than 1.2 million square feet at a construction cost of more than $18.7 million (USD). The project featured more than 274 skylights that ranged in size from 260 to 7,500 square feet each.

We worked with the general contractor (Larson and Toubro), the clients (GVK), the glazing vendor (Permasteelisa from Italy) who did the skylights and façades, and the structural contractor (GYSPL from Singapore).

O&S developed structural drawings, architectural drawings, shop drawings for fabrication, and provided construction management during the construction phase of the project with more than 26 engineers and technicians. The roof materials exported from the US alone occupied more than 380 shipping containers.
