O&S performed the structural design and engineering of an extensive 12,000 square-foot Green Roof Terrace over the Library of Building No. 10 at the National Institute of Health in Bethesda, Maryland. Our engineering design work consisted of a comprehensive structural investigation of the existing roof over the library and assist in design of the Green Roof from waterproofing, drainage system, soil types, and landscaping/plantings for the project. Our services consisted of all design, engineering, construction documents (drawings/ specifications), construction administration, and part-time construction supervision.

The Total Project Cost was $1.8 million, which included engineering services, Green Roof, Structural Repairs, Parking Structure Renovation, and Construction Management.
