The Municipal Parking Facility is located at 5 North Gay Street in Mount Vernon, Ohio. Based on the exiting drawings, the building is around 55 years old. The parking garage serves the adjacent Mount Vernon Municipal Court and Police Department.

O&S Associates was engaged by Custom-Cutters metal fabrication contractors to design semi-permanent shoring measures at selected locations of precast concrete plank and beam damage identified by a separate structural engineering firm.

O&S performed structural calculations and designed six (6) separate shoring details to satisfy the different concrete members to be supported and to cater to the unique traffic flow and headroom requirements. The structural steel shoring was designed in accordance with AISC requirements.

The project is in construction and is expected to be completed by the end of 2022. O&S is providing document and shop drawing review during the project.
