O&S was selected by Columbus Regional Airport Authority (CRAA) to provide on-call engineering services for repair and maintenance of various parking garages and parking lots at the John Glenn International Airport located in Columbus, Ohio. As part of our scope of services, O&S has provided condition assessment, design documents, and phased technical supervision during construction for the Parking Garage and Exit Plaza repair projects.

The Parking Garage and Exit Plaza along with the Arrival/Departure structure are all interconnected. Over time, these structures developed structural concrete deterioration and aged waterproofing elements. O&S carried out a thorough condition assessment of these parking structures including review of existing as-built documentation, field measurements of structural framing, documenting all observed areas of concrete deterioration and damage, and developed a comprehensive repair program with estimated construction costs.

Upon CRAA’s approval, O&S was engaged to provide Engineering Design services including a full set of construction documents that were prepared in accordance with ODOT Construction and Material Specifications. O&S also provided bidding services and phased technical supervision throughout the construction process. The project's first phase consisted of structural and waterproofing repairs for the Short-term Parking Garage, and the Arrival/Departure structure in 2022. The project's second phase consisted of structural and waterproofing repairs for vehicle Exit Plaza and was completed in 2023.
