Baker Hostetler is one of the nation’s largest law firms and represents clients around the globe. They have offices throughout the United States and offer a wide range of services including business, tax, real estate, and labor/employment law.

O&S Associates was retained to perform consulting structural engineering services for the Baker Hostetler Tenant Space Improvement project located at 200 Civic Center Drive in Columbus, Ohio. The project occurred on floors 10 through 13 of the building.

As part of the project, O&S performed structural designed for the new communicating stairs between levels 12 and 13 of the building as well as slab edge reinforcement along the new lobby mezzanine openings between the floors.

O&S also performed structural design of the structural slab reinforcement of an 11th floor room to accommodate heigh density records cabinets atop a sliding rail system. This design required new beams to support the rail system and plate reinforcement of existing beams.

O&S provided technical supervision of the installation of structural steel and reviewed RFI’s, submittals, and shop drawings throughout the duration of the project.
