Local Law 97: Extension Deadline Updates & Filing Guidance
In June, NYC DOB has announced that building owners can now request an extension to comply with Local Law 97 reporting requirements. The new deadline to file for an extension is August 29, 2025. If approved, the extension grants additional time to submit the LL97 compliance report—now due by December 31, 2025.
It's important to note that previously submitted extension requests will also be honored through December 31, 2025.
How to File a Local Law 97 Extension Request?
Building owners seeking additional time must submit their request through the BEAM Portal by opening a support ticket titled “03. LL97 Extension Request.”
