Transition Study
During the transition period from developer to association, O&S evaluates the building’s common elements, identifies defects, and works with your attorney to ensure the community is well-prepared for the future.
One of the most critical periods for a new building is the transition of control from the developer to the association. The transition period is the time when unit owners have the chance to uncover potential defects and deficiencies before they become the sole responsibility of the association. Our team will evaluate the building’s common elements and compare the as-built construction with industry standards, prevailing codes, and the original design. Our findings will include a proposed remedy and an estimated cost to remedy each defect. O&S will work with your attorney throughout the entire transition process to ensure that the community is appropriately prepared for the future. We look forward to the opportunity to assist your community.
