The Chesapeake Hospital required a thorough building exterior façade assessment.
• O&S Associates performed the survey of the building exterior using swing-stages and developed a repair program for the façade.
• O&S prepared repair drawings and technical specifications, bid the work to specialty contractors and made periodic observations of construction.
• The restoration of the exterior façade repair was comprised of reconstruction of the exterior building façade repair and waterproofing, temporary roof protection and swing-stage set-up, repair of deteriorated concrete, cleaning and coating of concrete surfaces with waterproof coating, tuck-pointing of deteriorated mortar joints, new perimeter sealants at windows, brick masonry repairs, cleaning and sealing of masonry with water repellent sealer through wall flashings at concrete spandrels.
